Wrong Postcode

Post by hiyama22 »

I ordered a parcel online (2nd class, no tracking) and put the full correct address in Cambridge (including the city) but the wrong postcode in Milton Keynes (MK5). It's been shipped, is it likely to be delivered / how long a delay should I expect? Thanks for any help.

It will probably delay it a few days as most of the processes are automatic and the Mail Centres sort by Postcode. However, when it gets to the MK postcode offices they should obscure the incorrect post code and send it on.

However, it's not a certainty, it's possible that as the address doesn't match the postcode it could be returned to sender.

On balance you are more likely to get it than not, but there will be a delay.

It is very common for items to have the wrong postcode on them. We have the rest of the address and the name to look at though at our end.
