ITEM BEING RETURNED TO HEATHROW (help!)

Hello,

I ordered a hand made, mini statue from the USA (via Etsy - think crafts etc) and it was shipped from San Fran to me on 16.1.18. It arrived in the UK on 23.1.18 at HWDC.

However, I started tracking it via RM and it appears to have almost arrived (!) but then, for some reason, it's now being sent back to the US via HWDC today. I did call RM but the person on the phone couldn't tell me anything. The transit/tracking info is as follows:

If it was a customs charge or anything, surely I would just get a card through the door telling me to pay at my local PO? I've never had anything like this before and hoped someone might have an idea. I can't believe it was addressed incorrectly as it made it's way to Leicester after all! So frustrating :(
