Receiving Mail in India

Post by manu1991 »

Hi

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but thought I might as well try my luck. I have some documents I had to receive from the UK NARIC (National Academic Recognition Information Centre) to New Delhi, India. These were dispatched on the 5th of January. However, the tracking status seems to be stuck since then (it was sent using International Signed For service)

I contacted NARIC and they said packages to India usually get delivered in 15 days but since the status seems to be stuck, I am confused. I went to my local post office as well and they said that this status means that they havent received it yet so I am not sure where the package even is. I have an option to reorder it using DHL but since thats fairly expensive, I just wanted to make sure this is lost etc. before doing that

It is probably stuck in Indian customs. It is not officially lost unless it fails to turn up for 5 weeks after posting, which is about the 9th February.
