Hi I have a query regarding having my mail held at my local delivery office for my own collection as per

I live in a house with 5 members, do I understand that if I sign up in my name only, only my mail will be held for collection (e.g. the other members of the household will still get their mail as normal) - also, does this service include parcels? (I'm talking about parcels that are delivered by the postman with the rest of the normal mail, obviously not talking about DPD etc) ?
it says in the FAQ: "‘Mail’ means all items of mail except parcels addressed to the addressee at the Delivery Address using the Correct Addressee Name;" - so this means only letters would be held back for collection and not parcels? or is that in there just talking about parcelforce etc ?

Both letters and parcels in your name will be held up for you to collect.

As long as the mail and parcels clearly have your specific name on them.
If there is a mail retention for a Mr James Smith but there is also perhaps a Mr Richard Smih and a Mr Sam Smith.
Only mail for Mr J(ames) smith Willie held back. Most problems I am aware of come when mail is addressed simply to Mr Smith, no first name or initial. They will generally be delivered as addressed as we can't know for sure who it is for
