So if it's not set off when people are there how are they going to recognise it when it is set off for real. And before you say 'I know what a fire alarm sounds like'fishtank wrote:......the fire alarm system should be tested at least once a week but it makes no sense setting the thing off when we're in the building.........
they are NOT all the same bell ringing type alarms. I've heard klaxons, whooping sounds etc in different buildings I've worked in. And still people stuck their
heads out of their office doors and said 'What's that then?'
