Hi, I wonder if anyone can help...when using the tracking facility to track my sent international tracked parcels, I can't see any address details at all; not even a postcode! Am I missing something obvious or do Royal Mail deliberately not display the postage address? It has been pointed out to me on a number of occasions from customers that how can they be assured that the tracking information is actually for their parcel when there is no record of the address?! Fair point...
Thanks in advance for any advice

It seems to be deliberate that the publicly available tracking systems do not show this data. The internal system available to Royal Mail staff and Post Office direct employees does show this data where available. Address information is not collected for all mail of this type, for instance when using the Speedbulk entry system at Post Offices.

Thanks for your help. I think it's a poor service not to include at least a postcode on the tracking service.

I am no expert but it may be down to the Data Protection Act.
In fact my assumption appears correct: https://ico.org.uk/media/for-organisati ... ummary.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Spatial information includes post-codes, GPS data and map references
will sometimes constitute personal data. There is no simple rule
for handling this kind of data under the DPA. The approach you take to
handling spatial information will be dependent on available related
information and the size of the dataset you are dealing with
