Parcelforce - "Exported from the UK" For 1 Week

Post by arkryl »

Hey there, apologies if this problem has come up before. But I am having a bit of a panic with regards to a package I am receiving (I am in the US) from my father (who is in the UK) via Parcelforce/USPS.

Essentially, Parcelforce has been showing the "Exported from the UK" status on tracking for just under a week now and is recorded as still being 'in transit'. The tracking page isn't saying anything about it being stopped in customs.

Should I be worried? Is this normal? The parcel is very important to me and I sincerely hope it hasn't fallen off of the back of a lorry somewhere :pray

The tracking No. is EE587239930GB. Both Parcelforce and USPS show the package as being processed through the international hub, however, Parcelforce explicitly say that it has been exported.

Thanks in advance!

Its probably being inspected by US Customs when there is a gap between export and arrival in a country, that's usually where the delay is. The US, with its Homeland Security requirements, sometimes changing with little notice are very strict.

That's some relief. My father rang Parcelforce and they said that it was probably sat in customs, however they found it unusual that there was no tracking update.
