Hiya,
I'm just wondering what the RM or legal situation is regarding someone blocking their letterbox of and not having any alternative drop spot. Is this legal?
Our neighbor is a real problem and we often get his mail. I used to just take it around but after he got all aggressive with me knocking on his door I stopped and keep giving it be to the postman instead.

From the neighbour's side, there is no legal compunction that his letterbox should be accessible and he can block it if he wishes. The only legal issue with Posties is their implied right of access when delivering mail, or in this case when attempting to deliver mail.
From your point of view you can refuse to accept his mail from the postie and if any is delivered just send it back (free of charge) as misdelivered mail. I would also have a word with the Postie themselves and ask that they don't leave your neighbours mail with you, and explain why. Any decent person will understand and comply.
If you refuse to accept delivery of their mail it will get sorted fairly quickly as the postie will have to return everything to the sender as "Address Inaccessible" and your neighbour will eventually get the message.
