We were told there was no need to input if it wouldn't scan, just deliver it. The only ones we are supposed to manually input if they won't scan are the old format barcodes from Signed For, Internationals & Specials.

Why? Not having a PDA isn't my problem. Pretty sure RM property doesn't belong to us so why would anyone take it home? What if you have to knock off sick or an emergency comes up? The office is a PDA down thus exacerbating the problem.

You mean that crap they sent us this week? Sent it back refused. I don't read Royal Mail homework. They want to chat to me about scanning, they do it in their own time, sorry.

If it does not scan then :nana .Who the hell has time to input all those letters and numbers???. Why the heck do we have to scan foreign specials that nearly all go through the letterbox without requiring a signature? Some gaffers bonus totaliser must be totting up nicely in time for Christmas :mad

Cannot be arsed so sack me then only a management bonus calculation which gains us F all if it don't scan then it will not scan and probably never has been scanned through the system!

Our manager has put up a list of the failed scans from the day before on the noticeboard. This also shows the address, so they know who isn't bothering to type them in.

Lots of my 2d barcodes this week have been streaked/marked and therefore I could not scan them, I tried to put the PRN in today but it didn't work...didn't have time to try again. PDA also crashed later on. :thumbdown

I've read that RM don't get paid if some 2D are not scanned. Surely this is a PO failure. Why should RM be doing work that hasn't been paid for?
