Looking for franchising Post Office branch to cooperate with

Post by zsedc »

Hello

I live abroad and send many letters to UK via UK middle man. It just does not work well: I need to pay money to middle man and there is always 1 - 2 days of delay because of middle man :(.

The solution I think about is:
I would UPS/TNT bunch of letters (already labeled with Royal Mail system: http://bit.ly/2yBcoxv" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) to one of UK Franchising Post Office . Than I am expecting from Franchising Post Office to just mail the letters at the same day.

So.. It is something very similar to Click & Drop but I will UPS or TNT them directly to Post Office instead of dropping .

I believe that this solution would work well for both sides. I will get cheaper and quicker mail processing. Franchising Post Office will receive RM fee as from usual customer. Am I right?

Thanks for reading, let me know if the solution could work. Is there anyone here from Post Office who wants to try?

Why do you "need to pay money to middle man ?
Why not just post all your letters from your nearest Post Office in Poland ?

There are two reasons:
  • 1. Posting a letter from Poland to UK cost much more money than posting a letter within UK. If you have many letters than it is more economic to post a bunch of them in bulk box via UPS to UK middleman .
Small Letter AirMail from Poland to UK cost 1.25GBP, there is no compensation if loss. First Class within UK cost only 0.65 £ and there is 20GBP compensation for loss or damage.
  • 2. The fastest Post Office delivery from Poland to UK takes about 5 - 6 working days and that is not guaranteed. Sometimes it takes 10 working days or even more. If I use a middleman in UK than I can reduce that to 3 working days (1 day UPS + 1 day middleman + 1 day Royal Mail first class)
I want to cooperate with franchising Post Office directly because:
  • 1. I can remove the charge taken by middle man
  • 2. I can save one more day because Post Office will send my letters on the same day as they arrive with UPS. (Monday: UPS from Poland to UK Post Office, Tuesday: UK Post Office receive bulk packing and sends each letter to customer, Wednesday: customer receive letter)
In my opinion franchising post office would be the best option because they receive fee from Royal Mail for each posted letter (am I right? ) so I expect that they would love to cooperate with me ... hopefully without additional charge ;) .

Is that possible? Is there a list of franchising Post Offices so I can contact them?

Thanks for your reply
