Hi everyone,
Last Saturday morning (7th October) I posted a large letter by International Track and Trace to Greece, containing no prohibited/risky items (but personal stuff I have made so would be very disappointed if it went missing). I didn't realise when purchasing that Royal Mail don't track the item once it's left the UK, and so the latest I have on it is: Your item, posted on 07/10/17 with reference R***********B has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in GREECE (GLS).
I checked the track and trace of GLS and that is of a similar status but 2 days later: The parcel was handed over to GLS. Mon 9 Oct 2017, 15:03 and said it is IN TRANSIT. It also has a ref number for a Greek courier, ASC, which has no information on the parcel at all in their tracker.
I'm starting to get worried as I was told it would approx take 3 - 5 working days and it's now the 16th so it's already late.
Just wondering if anyone has any words of reassurance for me, is it typical for EU (or specifically Greek) postal services to act a little slower than expected and for them to not update the tracker since receiving the parcel in their care? At what point do you advise I contact GLS for an update?
Many thanks in advance for your help....
