I ordered something for delivery on Amazon last week. Should have arrived Thursday, it's now Monday.
Carrier is specified as Royal Mail, but the tracking number supplied by Amazon does not work on royal mail: AW824960640GB

It definitely in the correct format but Royal Mail doesn't recognise it.
What does your Amazon Tracking say? In the past, I have had an RM item turn up in an Amazon courier van

The vast majority of items from Amazon delivered by Royal Mail do not have tracking available on the RM website despite seemingly having a RM tracking number. The only way to find out what has happened to it is via Amazon.
Presumably Amazon pay less for this service.
