post regularly missing from block of flats

Post by ChrisK »

Hi there,

Does anyone have advice on how to resolve this? I own a property in a block of flats. (MANY flats - mostly bedsits owned by the freeholder.) There have always been problems with items gone missing but now it is the norm. We never receive anything. We are thinking of installing letter boxes outside for the four leasehold flats but that would not resolve the delivery of parcels. We are not sure if we should report this to the police as well.

Any ideas would be welcome, many thanks.

Hi Chris, if you instal those letter boxes outside, with clear indication of flats numbers on them, you will get your letters and I missed you cards for parcels, if the postie/courier can`t deliver them to recipient.
I don`t know if the acces in your building is easy or not, but if items are missing it must be easy to get into the building and anyone could have taken them.
Good luck.

Or you could arrange to pick up your post from the delivery office.

ChrisK have a chat with the postman one day. He/she will not be happy you are having issues and would much rather the mail is left securely.
