New negotiators who don't have the preconcieved idea that this is a reasonable and acceptable compromise.

Collective bargaining where the i s are dotted and the t s crossed instead of "Local" agreement and when the sh*t hits the fan there is the "well you agreed it" cry.

A position whereby the workforce advise the executive rather than the other way round.

My times are 6 till 2,which aint a prob for us as we've only been moved by 15mins.
I wanna work 6 till 2 when i'm in,not 30mins extra on sum days,and i don't want long and shorts,i dont wanna work 6 till 3ish or 4ish on the heavy days.
Hows that for a start.
Oh,and i don't wanna go home early on the light days.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We have had a go at those down here in bournmouth it was a complete dissaster after 2 weeks most of them refused to carry on with the trials. It was just too much to do more so in the winter an on wet days people just could not cope , but it did not help the the twats who run this office have no idea about forward planning

Before I get shot down I just like to say that the basic offer is probably workable, but there are no safeguards. There are too many bullying and autocratic managers will use this agreement to force through their vision of a perfect office and bugger us the workers. All I am asking for is protection and safeguards to be written into the deal so that we wont get shafted locally.

ok then, here i go. this deal is just about ok! i think we will be able to work out the problems IF left alone in our office. if people from outsde start messing around hole thing could go tits up. then again we all could fall out about some little thing and get know where fast. MUST BE LEFT TO MANGERS, REPS AND STAFF TO WORK OUT OFFICE DEALS.
the only people who know how your office is run are the staff in it, let them have there flexiblity and they will be happy to help out a little SOMETIMES.
THE PROBLEMS WILL COME WHEN WE ARE TOLD WHAT TO DO FROM UP ON HIGH. they have know idea at all.

35 hour week + £350 basic pay, full time recruitment no more 25/30 hour contracts, no more phantom shares, no more management slash and burn tactics over savings.

Don’t come in early, don’t use your cars, take your breaks, weigh your bags and put a stop to them winging about the Spanish practices that they have encouraged.
