What ? How does an extra couple of % on the half a billion profit RM have made last financial year mean the ordinary postie pays more in income tax (to fund more on welfare benefits) exactly ??

TBH I'm very confused by quite a lot of the posts here. Where are you people getting your information ? Laura Kuenesberg and the Sun ??

Really is sad how the tories, and a complicit media, have brainwashed so many of the working class as evident on this thread.
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

I have a notion as to why the working man/woman no longer supports labour. It's called socialist policies.

The welfare state has resulted in the working poor being played off against the non working poor.

Uncontrolled immigration has resulted in the working poor being unable to buy a house and paying high rents.

The working man/woman complaining about endless population growth on an island 600 miles across gets you called a racist/xenophobe by the left.

There are no longer enough jobs to match the numbers looking for work. Many reasons for this - but the end result is that there are more on benefits than ever. This will only get partially better under Labour, cos they have a public infrastructure investment plan - but it will only get worse under the Tories. The only question is - what are you going to do with those that are no longer in employment ? Punish them - or let them share in the nations prosperity? Labour are the only party (in this country at least) that have seriously broached this problem and are looking at a Universal Basic Income.

You can't buy a house cos the credit has dried up - care of the credit crunch. The housing that you would have aspired to is now in the ownership of the private rented sector - and this is where the "benefits" bill is disproportionately obligated to servicing. ie. the private landlord. Michael Heseltine et al. Private landlords get £9.3bn in housing benefit from taxpayer

I agree with you on that.

But the Labour Party is for the ordinary man and woman - don't let them tell you different.

Better than being an idiot and voting for a water walker and his brainless lackies. Can you seriously think the likes of Corbyn and Diane Abbot would run the country better?????
See this has to stop - why do you attack Corbyn in such a disrespectful way - if you don't like him fine, you don't have to - but attack the policies - what of the policies do you dislike - what do you like about the Tory policies

And in answer to your question yes I do think they would run it better, better than running down the NHS to sell it off, increasing the deficit, increasing homelessness, making working people have to use foodbanks and saddling our children with thousands of pounds worth of debt just to get a degree!!

What about you???
They're all just as bad as each other......

Student tuition fees introduced by TBs' Labour Govt for academic year 98.
Trussell Foodbanks started in UK in early 2000's - Labour in power.
TB's New Labour were drivers in establishing NHS trusts and PFI's.

You sound like someone who has lost hope.

The Labour Party of yesterday is not the Labour Party of today. Things have changed. There is hope. Vote Labour.

Under labours plan we'll all be earning near to their idea of a minimum wage.
Makes a good case for working in a petrol station or some other less demanding job.
If labour raised minimum wage to £10 hr then we should be on about £15 hr. So to pay that, postage costs would go up and everything we buy would go up.
So earning extra would be cancelled out by everything costing more to support higher wages.
There's no winners in their minimum wage pledge.

This poor sap can't see it. It's not going to happen, ever.
The voting public don't give monkey's who "owns" RM; they have cheaper alternatives for their Ebay buys and sells, and if by some strange conjunction of Blue Moons and months of P*ss-pots Corbyn ever got into Downing St, renationalising RM would be so low in his plans that his tenure in government would have ended long since.
I suppose there had to be one who believed it. Man.

make no mistake TB NU Labour was not labour - it was a red tory doing anything to get elected

Jeremy Corbyn IS Labour - look beyond the press and look at his record, he has been on the right side of history his whole life

For the first time in at least one generation we have a clear choice between Labour and the Tories - the Tories are hoping you won't bother to vote because if you vote for Labour they won't be in power anymore - the simple fact is that their are more working class people than rich people - if we all vote for a governement for the many not the few it WILL happen

Don't let voter apathy be the reason the tories get in again
