Here's what's happened so far:

Parcel should have been sent to Ireland, however it looks as though it's been sent to Germany in error.
Does anyone have any idea how quickly GLS will forward it on to Ireland, if at all?
I'm worried as it's important documents. I've asked RM but they just say it should get there at some point which isn't much help. I've also asked GLS Germany and they say it's not on their system.
Any help is appreciated.

GLS is a subsidiary of Royal mail, and their European Hub is in Germany. So I grant you it looks weird but it should be okay - what service did they use.
Just to confirm GLS do deliver in Ireland https://gls-group.eu/IE/en/gls-ireland" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
The delay, as usual, is caused by the random checks on batches of mail the various Customs authorities do for illegal or unsafe items.

It was sent international tracked and signed. I've checked on GLS tracking and the number isn't recognised by them.

Finally arrived. In future I will use a proper courier, I advise anyone who wants to send anything important or valuable to do the same.
The 3-5 days quoted by Post office staff means nothing and don't expect much help from RM if things do go wrong.
