blank something for you card
I ordered a product and made the mistake of putting my partners address but my own post code. As a result, when the parcel was delivered to her house her flatmate rejected the parcel which is a signed for parcel. I've checked the tracking online and it states "the addressee refused to accept it. The item will be returned to GUILDFORD to be returned to sender." however a something for you card was left at her house blank with no details filled in and ive booked an automated re delivery online . However Im am confused as to whether it will get redelivered or returned to sender

Definitely returned to sender.
The postie probably uses blank cards to remind themselves that they have a parcel or something needing signing for at that particular address. In the confusion of it being accepted or not they delivered the blank card by accident.

Im not sure if the something for you card was left by mistake because online it says "delivery attempted, a card has being left for you"; in addition the sender said it hasn't being sent back on her tracking. Is there a possibility if i go their early enough on Monday I could intercept the mail before its sent back.

Not if it gets sent back within 24 hours (at least it does in my office)andrew johnson wrote:Im not sure if the something for you card was left by mistake because online it says "delivery attempted, a card has being left for you"; in addition the sender said it hasn't being sent back on her tracking. Do you have the tracking number or the output (you can copy and paste it here) that way we can hopefully get a better idea of what's happening. The delivery attempted, a card has been left for you may just an anomaly.

if it has been sent sent back to sender will it be updated on the online tracking

It does look like its going back but because its recorded its only scanned on Delivery Attempts and on return to the sender so it won't show any more tracking till they get it back.
As to being open or not, unfortunately, that doesn't matter as behind the scenes Royal Mail is moving mail nearly 24/7.

How long does it take to get to the sender I was told 10 days by the customer service.

Its not treated as first class because the service paid for has already been used, however, I would say 10 days would be a worst case scenario. More like late this week (Thu Fri) but even then I wouldn't worry till the 10 days have passed.andrew johnson wrote:TrueBlueTerrier wrote:It does look like its going back but because its recorded its only scanned on Delivery Attempts and on return to the sender so it won't show any more tracking till they get it back.
