PARCEL STUCK AT USPS SORT FACILITY

I have a parcel coming usps to the uk, since the 28th april it has been at a sort facility, never seen these type of delays and another parcel from the same seller sent a couple of days later has made it all the way to L.A.X and will be at Heathrow tomorrow, tracking shows

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, I've seen customs delays our side but never a parcel getting stuck in USA. Also all 3 of those tracking updates happened at the exact same time, that seems very strange to me.

It could well be with UK customs atm, if it is it won't get scanned again until after it has been released by customs. Does it contain any lithium batteries?

No lithium batteries in it mate, shouldn't have any issues with customs, value is below $20 so even if stopped for a customs check it won't have any vat to pay. It's good to know this isn't a worry yet, usually I get updates saying departed airport in America, landed at Heathrow etc so the fact it's been at the sort facility so long was concerning. Thanks for replying.

I have the same problem with my parcel:

Now is 04 may 2017 and no tracking update for 6days :(

Any idea what happend in this day?

Not yet mate I'm still in the same boat, last update on the 28th same as yours. The most frustrating thing is the parcel shipped 2 days later from the same seller has made it all the way to my local sort office and will come tomorrow. That parcel cleared the sort facility in L.A. in under a day, I've had many parcels shipped through L.A. sort centre and they all clear in a day or so, so like you I'm worried that this one may be lost in the post somewhere

Customs choose random batches of mail for closer examination, if your item is in one of them batches it'll take longer to clear customs

Fair enough, is it possible US customs have chosen it for further inspection or is the more likely it missed a couple of scan points and is sitting in HWDC?
I know usps are poor at times but it does seem you are correct in what you say since someone else has a package from the same sort office in the same track state since the same day as me. After how many days should I consider this an actual problem, like when should I start messaging the seller about reships etc

USPS is unusual in that they track parcels off the plane at London Heathrow. The absence of that tracking point suggests that the problem is at the US end.

my parcel the same issue still not update since 28.04 also my second parcel also stuck in the same place since 28.04 but from another seller so definitely something is wrong with Departed USPS Facility LOS ANGELES, CA 90009

My 2 parcels both made it to England and cleared customs, one arrived today the other appears to be due for delivery tomorrow, thanks for the help guys seems that particular sort office had a backlog
