So a few weeks ago i had a problem with an international delivery i was expecting, the tracking said it was delivered but it wasn't. So i escalated it with royal mail trying to find out whats going on, they finally come back to me yesterday saying it seems to be in Belfast now and it could be in the process of being returned to sender.
Firstly how could it of been marked as delivered when it wasn't and now its in belfast being returned?
Is there anything i can do to get it sent back to me rather than it going back to the USA?
Below is what the tracking is currently saying.

Yes, it is quite normal for an item to be marked as delivered if it has reached the relevant Delivery Office and there is a customs charge to pay. You should have received a grey 'charge to pay' postcard through your door, prompting you to pay the tax. It is amazing how often customers fail to recognise the importance of these cards and bin them...
If it has gone to Belfast then this implies that there is no return address on the item. It might be worth completing a P58international form, it doesn't cost anything and it might result in you getting the parcel eventually (once you have paid the tax, obviously).
