I use eBay but I am lucky enough to have never had to file a claim or had one filed against me. But check your terms and conditions and complain again, I imagine it won't move forward unless you do.

veryconfused wrote:Hello, Im waiting for an expensive parcel from UK to Norway and when I type in my tracking number RUxxxxxxxxxGB this is what I get.
Date Time Status Track point
13/11/15 03:27 ARRIVED (MDN) AT HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
12/11/15 15:42 ON ITS WAY TO HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC GLASGOW MAIL CENTRE
12/11/15 14:28 ITEM COLLECTED GLASGOW MAIL CENTRE
12/11/15 11:10 SENT AT POST OFFICE 59 Glassford Str G1 1UG
What does this mean?
Does this delay mean that HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC could have lost the parcel?
I spoke to two Royal Mail and got two different answers. The first one was that it must have left UK and not been scanned. The person said that it will be send with next flight available but not sure if they know for certain that HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC had the parcel.
Very confused
Did you got your package? Mine is VERY late ! Tracking dont say anything on Posten.no and RM states its passed to the postal service overseas- and that is has left uk for delivery in Norway..
Any input ? :/ worried.

As per previous posts its probably held up in Customs over which Royal mail have no control. Average delay seems to be about 2 - 4 weeks going by all the other posts we have in the Customers Forum.

delay at Heathrow Worldwide DC
Hello. I'm waiting for a package sent from UK froma friend with a bunch of videogames sent "tracked and traced", however this is what the royalmail website says:
08/12/16 23:59 ARRIVED (MDN) AT HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
08/12/16 20:07 ON ITS WAY TOHEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC GREENFORD MAIL CENTRE
08/12/16 19:32 ITEM COLLECTED GREENFORD MAIL CENTRE
08/12/16 09:45 SENT AT POST OFFICE 15 Glengall Road HA8 8TB
Today is already 23th December and nothing. Why is the package "stuck" there? It doenst contain any batteries, it's only games. My friend usually sends the same to me every month but this hasn't occurred before.
Any explanations for this?

I have to state we are not Royal Mail and you will only get unofficial advice here not an explanation.
But usually when the item has passed through HWDC and there is no more movement its usually stuck in either Outgoing UK Customs, or more likely the Customs of the receiving country.
At this time of year the delays in Customs can be a few weeks, and neither Royal Mail or your own Postal Company can speed it up.
For official advice you need to speak to your own local Postal Service, or try tweeting @royalmail (though they'll be closing for Christmas very soon actually in 10 minutes)

Hi there everybody, I have a similar problem..
I live in Ireland and on March 29th I posted a guitar and guitar case to someone who lives in Kuwait.
From the Irish Postal Service, there are two numbers, an item number (RL 632 672 392 IE ) and a sender number (EF723859471IE)
When I track one number (RL 632 672 392 IE ), it says
ITEM DESPATCHED FROM LONDON
HEATHROW TRANSIT HUB 31-Mar-17
00:11
ITEM DESPATCHED FROM LONDON
HEATHROW TRANSIT HUB 31-Mar-17
00:11
ITEM RECEIVED LONDON
HEATHROW TRANSIT HUB 30-Mar-17
23:42
ITEM FORWARDED TO KUWAIT 30-Mar-17
23:42
And when I track the other (EF723859471IE), it says
ITEM RECEIVED LONDON
HEATHROW TRANSIT HUB 30-Mar-17
23:42
ITEM FORWARDED TO KUWAIT 30-Mar-17
23:42
ITEM IS IN TRANSIT PORTLAOISE MAIL CENTRE
CO LAOIS 30-Mar-17
01:30
ITEM DESPATCHED FROM PORTLAOISE MAIL CENTRE
CO LAOIS 30-Mar-17
00:10
ITEM HAS BEEN ACCEPTED PORTLAOISE MAIL CENTRE
CO LAOIS 29-Mar-17
22:10
ITEM HAS BEEN ACCEPTED DUBLIN MAIL CENTRE
DUBLIN 12 29-Mar-17
20:28
ITEM IS IN TRANSIT DUBLIN MAIL CENTRE
DUBLIN 12 29-Mar-17
20:28
ITEM IS IN TRANSIT KELLS D.S.U.
CO MEATH 29-Mar-17
17:44
ITEM HAS BEEN ACCEPTED KELLS D.S.U.
CO MEATH 29-Mar-17
17:44
ITEM ACCEPTED AT KELLS
CO MEATH 29-Mar-17
12:02
So one tracking number says it has been despatched from Heathrow, and the other says that it is still there.
I have contacted Royal Mail but they say that the item has not entered their system.
Do items that are travelling between two countries that are not the UK have to go through UK customs?
Or is there some other likely explanation as to what has happened the package? Could it just be delayed in Heathrow for some other reason?
The box itself is quite bulky and large, so it should be (theoretically) quite difficult to lose!
If you have any insights into this I would be very appreciative!
Thanks!

The last two tracking points have the exact same time on them, but are displayed in a different order on each of the systems. So that's probably just a difference in how the systems handle the data in that case.

Thank you for the information! I appreciate it. Do you know if items coming through the UK have to go through customs even if that is not their final destination?

Only for safety checks, I would think. To be honest your are best ringing Anpost because it's in their system rather than Royal Mails, the only reason it would come via the UK is if there are no direct mail flights between Kuwait and Dublin.

That is great information, thank you very much. I was half thinking the package was stuck or lost somewhere in Heathrow! Fingers crossed it will surface again soon.

Hi, someone with packages stuck "ARRIVED (MDN) AT HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC" ?
I use royal mail International Tracked to receive in 3 or 4 days (because Tracked & signed takes 9 days).
I have 2 packages shipped in different days, from UK, both stuck in Heathrow...

Some items take longer because they have been randomly selected for more checks. Sometimes all the customs checks take longer because of Christmas or new regulations or a vomiting bug sweeps through the customs officers...

Random means that, yes, that might happen. There is nothing that you can do about speeding this up.
