Parcel to Australia (International Signed) - Very Worried re. Delay

Post by avfc1 »

Hello,

I sent 2 packages to Australia on 8th March, both by International Signed-For.

One arrived on the 22nd, the other hasn't arrived at all.

I spoke to Royal Mail who weren't much help, said it was not unusual and that the item had surely arrived in Australia and was probably being held up in customs.

But I have just phoned AUSPOST and they say the parcel has definitely not even arrived in Australia yet and that if it was with their customs they would have already scanned it into the country.

They (AusPost) say the last record is that it was scanned at Langley on 11th March.

Tracking number is: RU631155879GB

Royal Mail say they won't investigate until 12th April.

Realistically though, what are my chances of this ever either arriving at its destination in Melbourne or being safely returned to me?

The contents are books and model car cardboard inlays.

Thank you for any help and advice.

You really need the Australian version of this site (if there is one) as this is a question about AusPost and Australian customs.
