can I send dna kits through Royal Mail

Post by er1508 »

Hi,
I recently got an ancestry DNA kit from a company called myheritage. I have to send 2 small vials which contain cotton swabs of my saliva and an unknown solution back to their lab in Texas. The vials are in a bag marked "biohazard" and in a padded white envelope. Can I send it through royal mail or do I have to pay a courier?
Thanks.

As long as you use the official AncestryUK return envelope it should be okay. Make sure you follow the instructions to the letter though.
