Advice for overflowing mailbox

Post by TroyB »

Live in a block of 4, there are 4 mailslots in a column for each resident.

One neighbour moved out months ago and no one has moved in, the place is vacant.

Mail arrives for this empty place daily. The slot is beyond capacity.

Wanted advice on if there is anything I can do.

I am never around to see the postie but feel for them as there are obvious attempts to keep delivering.

All post is now squashed, deformed, ripped and just mashed in, in an effort to get it to fit.

Are there procedures on what to do if delivery cannot be completed as having a giant pile of damaged post does not seem like the best course of action.

Many thanks
