Parcel stuck at Heathrow

Post by RoyalPain »

Hi All,

I'm in desperate need of a spare part i have ordered some time ago.
Tracking no.: RN286417701GB
I would seem the seller was a little slow to send it, but is has still been under way in far longer time than i would expect.

I t has now been in Heathrow DC since the 17th and its still there.

Can anyone provide me with some insight and or help resolve this?

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

That is where parcels get scanned before despatch. It's probably just stuck in the queue but... "spare part" is worrying. Second hand motor engine needs parts often fail the dangerous goods test. What was it exactly?

It's a seal kit for an engine. Theres no fluids or wiring only lots of o-rings and other gaskets.
But stuck in the queue? How long is the queue and when can i expect it to "my turn"?
If it's fails the dangerous goods test, when and how will i know?
Is this normal for Royal Mail? -and in that case how do you live with that?

Thanks in advance

1. How long is a piece of string. I am afraid it's Christmas and at this time delays are unavoidable.
2. If they consider them dangerous then they tracking system will show a specific status indicating such.
3. Its normal at Christmas when traffic levels are 3 - 4 times normal.

Hi TrueBlueTerrier,

Thank you for you respond.

1) I have not expirenced this kind of delay with any other couriers. Ever. This is not the only parts i have orded from UK in December.
Some was actually ordered later and has arrived days ago.

2) so i don't assume this is the case

3) This can only apply to Royal Mail. i have had no issues and/or delays with other companys.

3) This was only related to why the f... anyone uses Royal mail, as i don't see how they can competitive to other services..
