No Letter Post for Nearly 2 Weeks!

Post by ogrmc »

I have recently moved into a new property and everything had been fine, until all of a sudden we have not received any letter mail for almost two weeks.

We've still had recorded delivery parcels arrive, but no letters at all day after day, which is strange as we were receiving mail daily fine before then.

Anyone had experience with a similar situation in the past? I've contacted RM customer service who have asked me to wait a few more days before they take further action.

Your best action is to pop into your local delivery office and see if there is a problem. If there is they should be able to sort it on the spot. If there is a local problem (dog attacked postman, access problems etc) its possible that Customer Services have not been advised.

You could call them but at this time of year the offices are very busy and they may not be able to answer your call. Hence my suggestion of popping down. Most callers offices open at 7am, and the posties will still be available if they need to talk to yours.

might be a silly question but did you have a redirection set up from your old house to your new one ? if you did maybe it has run out and your mail will go back to your old address, this would also explain the parcels being delivered as they are quite often missed on the redirections unless the postie is very familiar with the delivery.
