I'm in New Zealand and am expecting a parcel from the USA (LZ614818958US). The tracking was dormant for two weeks, and now all of a sudden it has arrived in the UK.
October 27, 2016 , 6:02 am Processed Through Facility UNITED KINGDOM
October 13, 2016 , 7:57 am Arrived at USPS Facility JAMAICA, NY 11430
October 13, 2016 , 6:42 am Accepted at USPS Origin Facility HAUPPAUGE, NY 11788
I checked the tracking on Royal Mail, and it comes up with:
27/10/16 06:02 ARRIVED (MDN) AT HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
Not panicking just yet, but I'm a little confused as to how my parcel has ended up on the wrong side of the globe!
I haven't experienced this before, so what would be the likely outcome here - would Royal Mail forward the parcel on to the correct destination?

Parcel from USA to NZ now in HWDC?
Somebody at USPS has put your item on the wrong plane: though not common, this mistake is not unknown. Royal Mail will now forward your item to New Zealand. The bad news is that the tracking sometimes stops working on these items, but the good news is that it has cleared the part of the process which takes a long time (UK customs).

I'm glad to hear my parcel isn't stuck in UK Customs, I was a little concerned about that.
From past experience, parcels from the UK usually get to me in 7-10 days, so I'll just hang tight and hope it gets put on the right plane soon.

UPDATE: I have to hand it to Royal Mail, they were seriously quick getting my misdirected parcel back out of the UK.
It arrived in NZ early yesterday morning and was delivered today.
