I am awaiting 2 packets from the USA via USPS, tracking now shows delivered at 6am this morning but they have not been delivered. Googling this problem shows quite a few with similar problem and different answers inc that 'delivered' simply means it's now in UK & no longer trackable via USPS ? that the tracking should then show up on RM ? that the packet is being held for customs charges etc.
Can someone please confirm which is correct so I know what's happening rather than all the Googlers making wild guesses
regards
Vic

It would help if you copied and pasted the tracking and/or tracking number into this thread.

USPS 'Delivered' question
Hi thanks for reply, tracking is RR434773075US, my main query is the definition of 'delivered' in this case, does it just mean that the USPS tracking is ended

I wasn't sure what that meant, which is why I asked for more specific tracking info. I'm now having trouble replicating your results. When I look at USPS.com it just tells me that "USPS Tracking™ is unavailable for this product for UNITED KINGDOM". When I check Royal Mail I get the following:
Item: RR434773075US from USA
Latest update: It's on its way
Your item, posted on 11/07/16 with reference RR434773075US has been received at our international mail centre and is being made ready for despatch overseas.
Without any other tracking, there is a big element of guess work in this, but my best guess is that "delivered" meant that it had arrived at the special PO Box at your local Delivery Office where items wait for payment of customs charges, in which case the tracking implies that the item has now been returned to sender. This would only apply, however, if your item was sent more than a month ago and was worth more than 18 £. My second best guess is that the item contained something that you can't import to the UK and has been turned back by customs, pharmaceuticals or food supplements being the most likely problem items. But all the above is a stab in the dark due to lack of information. As tracking does not reveal much, could you maybe tell us what it was, how much it was worth and when it was sent?

USPS 'Delivered' question
I had two cards through the door late this morning, I just got back from collecting the both with custom charges to pay, the packets both contain the same which is old copper coins but one packet is £26.58 and the other is £11.40, in both cases there is no duty to be paid so charge is only VAT and £8 handling fee, the £11.40 packet seems to be correctly charged with £3.40 VAT at 5% but I'm going to try & get the other other one reduced as it should be the same
