Hi all,

Currently having a monumental panic. I paid £800 cash into my allpay rent card and got a call yesterday to say no rent had been paid but £8?! To make matters worse lost the receipt! :cry Honestly I'm so mad at myself, I know the date and time of when I paid in as well as where. Is there any chance they'd keep a record of any of this? I'm hoping the cashier just missed typed it but what can I do? I'm going to go in asap but would like to know how I can help myself/what to say really. 4

ANY help is greatly appreciated!

Each Post Office used to keep a paper record of all payment card transactions: the branch could check these, but it's a slow process. If it was done in the last few weeks, they should be able to search on the till system. Take as much information to the branch as you can.

50% of these mistakes are the clerk in the branch and 50% are the housing association (or whoever you are paying).

It turns out she typed out the amount wrong, luckily they still had cctv and that day's money intake sheet!! :Very Happy :nana
