There really is no justification for this kind of treatment. All managers should receive the same sort of info we get in the LTB's regarding poll cards and election material. If you've got a rep then show the revalant topics on here, or even better print out the LTBs and place on CWU notice board and make sure you bring it up in WTL.worktotime wrote:in our office nobody knows what you get paid per item or how they going to work out what your count for polling cards and another addressed item, he also told 1 section if you don't take them all you wont get paid for any , he also told a few you cant cut off
you use to get 3 days for all this s**t and there was no arguments about o/t , but they are now saying 1 day and using this to get work done for nowt in my opinion and what are cwu doing about it ?
We always ask the DOM to put details over the tanoy a couple of times in the morning before and the morning of the poll cards or election stuff coming into the office. Also if your rep doesn't know the pence per item then contact either your area rep or branch secretary.
The union doesn't know what is happening in yours or my DO if we don't tell them, I used to regularly email HQ if I thought it was required and always received a reply, don't forget the CWU now has a medai person in Chris Webb, so I expect them to be on top of replying to reps etc.
Some times we just have to realise sometimes the best people to sort this kind of thing out is OURSELVES
