Incomming parcel stuck at heathrow

Post by Jeanette80 »

Hi

I need a bit of help and hope this is the correct place to ask

I am expecting a small parcel from a seller in Malaysia and the tracking number they provided BLGMY17960734 hows its been at Heathrow for more than two weeks now

It was a low cost electrical (£11.50) item so I doubt its stuck in customs

Does anyone know how I can chase this up and find out what's happened.

Many thanks in advance for any help

That's not a valid tracking number for either Royal Mail or Parcel Force so it's doubtful that it'll be trackable within the UK.

I was assuming that was the tracking number issued in Malaysia so obviously have no idea what it would be converted to once it got here

Is there any way to contact Heathrow parcel to try and find it.

Thanks

The value of the item doesn't affect whether it gets held up by customs or not unfortunately, delays of upto 6 weeks for items to clear customs are not uncommon unfortunately

there is no way to contact heathrow to try and locate you item, firstly there is no direct number for customers to call and secondly even if there was the sheer number of items going through mean it's highly impractical to search for one individual parcel

your reference number is not one used by internatoonal mail services, they should start with 2 letters then 9 numbers followed by 2 letters, the last 2 letters identify the sending country, how do you know it's actually stuck at Heathrow?

Its show up on the Pos Malaysia site ok, but as ZX135 says its not in a format that Royal Mail recognise so I can't see how the last track point was raised.

It just seems a bit random. I have two packages on way from USA. One is stuck at Heathrow having arrived on 7/5 and isn't tracking any further and number hasn't migrated onto RM tracking the other was at Heathrow 11/5 and was processed at about 6am today and now will track on RM site. it's so frustrating and a bit worrying. Is that first parcel lost, stolen, destroyed, going to customs, what? Who knows?

Customs don't process things in the order they arrive. It is suspected that they select some for special extra checking, lengthening the time taken.

I have exactly the same problem I paid for an item off eBay and the user gave me the tracking number BLGMY17927995 ,if I track this number on pos Malaysia site it says exactly what true blue terrier posted with same times, just different dates ,it supposedly arrived at Heathrow on 22 April at 05.25.00. huge coincidence!!!!!! Clearly a scam

I have the same problem, the item was on Ebay for a radio from China where I paid £15.75 to yingxiongpp02@163.com
I have raised dispute as item tracked to UK using tracking number BLGMY17968715.
I emailed Malasia.pos and received the following reply:
"Kindly be informed that your item is an ordinary item. We provide a value added service for this item so that the departure and arrival of it can be traced with the number BLGMY17968715. However, this number is only applicable in Malaysia and it is not registered thus it cannot be used to track your item with any postal services. Please be informed that we are unable to confirm the postal service that will handle of this item in United Kingdom or the delivery time frame. It is advisable for customer to raise any enquiry to the sender who is the merchant for this item as Malaysia is only the transit country."

I had emailed the seller and received the following reply THREE times:

" hi.dear buyer. the track number pls check your ebay order. we have add it. thanks. "

Not sure what this means but fingers crossed Ebay will refund me.
