Hi
I sent a parcel to singapore yesterday, tracked and signed for.
I was just filling the tracking details into paypal for my buyer when i saw on the post office receipt that the post office have put the parcel as going to the USA!!
will this affect my parcel?? Will the postal service go by the address I have put on the parcel itself, or the tracking that the post office counter wrongly inputted?
I am beside myself with worry. I tried to call the post office but helpline is closed until tomorrow morning. I was hoping they could catch it. It is at heathrow right now
please advise!

The Royal Mail will go by what is written on the parcel. They can't even see what the Post Office input into their computer.
None the less, I would complain to the Post Office in case it affects your ability to claim for loss or damage. Also (and it doesn't matter in this particular case) the PO choose the country from a list and then this influences what services are offered, if they put the wrong country you could be sold a service which doesn't exist for the destination nation and you could be charged the wrong price.

had that on my parcel im waiting for from Russia, the online tracker say Anguilla (British) which is the Virgin Island near Puerto Rico. The outside on the box has United Kingdom clearly on it, after it went through customs the tracker updated to send item abroad United Kingdom.
