LANGLEY HWDC ???

Post by thaijewel »

welcome to the club of items sucked in a black hole
soon no one will want to ship to the UK
i hope more and more people make noise about this
there is no excuse for delaying in customs items of the size of an envelope or small box
it is a complete disgrace...no other western country has so slow and erratic customs

The problem is probably not with "our employer" but with UK customs. Customs have to check everything before Royal Mail are allowed to deliver it and customs have built up a huge backlog over the last 6 months. Many items take 3-6 weeks to clear customs at the moment, this includes items from other EU countries. Customs do not scan mail while they have it (as far as I am aware).

In other words, your parcels are probably in a huge queue waiting to be processed and will arrive eventually. Other customers on here have reported this happening and many items get there in the end, but many weeks late. It is important that you put claim forms in with the Polish postal service when items are late as this helps to show that the problem exists.

Sorry, we can't give an answer as we aren't Royal Mail (or Customs). Your complaint needs to be made officially and I am afraid we can only offer advice and insigts. We are not an Official site.

As thaijewell says people need to make noise, and although this site is popular no one in an official capacity will take notice.

Yes I did and I got a refund in the end.

Seller still insists that item was sent registered post and was never returned so its lost in Langley presumably!!!!

I'm sick. I sent a certificate / URGENT package on February 2, the locator tells me that Royal Mail is in Heatrow worldwide and today DC on March 11 has not yet reached its recipient. I feel really ripped off by a company that boasts quality and reliability. It's something I need to work and earn my living and I'm that exploded. I have claimed through post, I called once and I contacted by email as 5 or 6 times. The answer is still the same, they will have a copy and paste for all, wait, wait, wait, wait .... how long? Why if the package is in his office and the locator is not shown SEEKING? It is so difficult?. It is shameful swindle you this way ...

I'm not entirely clear about what you are saying here but ... is it a parcel from the UK to another country, or a parcel coming into the UK? If it's coming inward then the problem is probably with UK customs, not Royal Mail.

I sent from Spain to United Kingdom and by putting the locator on the website of Royal Mail me indicates that the item was admitted on Feb. 5 and the track point is Heatrow Worldwide DC, belonging to Royal Mail. I'm still waiting .. .

Yep, it's stuck in UK customs. This has been a problem for about 6 months now, things get stuck there for weeks. There isn't much that you can do to make it move, and neither can Royal Mail. However, if the rules in Spain are like those in the UK, then from Monday you should be able to put in a claim form with Correos to get the cost of the postage back, plus the value of the contents (if it's worth anything).

If the claim is already in Correos Spain for a few weeks, but everything works very slow, Spain worse. I'm waiting for more than two weeks now. I hope that sooner or later leave my package and at least I return it to my house, for the purpose of delivery and I lost, and I had 15 days to return the item.

HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC

Post by alexether »

Evening guys.

I've got a parcel coming from china (LX937372251CN). It's coming up as the following on the Royal Mail tracking site:
22/03/16 09:07 ARRIVED IN THE UK HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC

I've ordered lots of things in the past and have basically been at this stage for a few hours, is this common?

At the moment yes, it's very common. It can take a couple of weeks to clear customs.

Thank you, just so I can understand what would be the reason one package is still listed as there and another that came a week later passes through within hours?
