Recommended letter to overseas

Post by Lily88 »

It has said for a week now the recommended letter is 'on its way' and have been delivered ''to the postal services overseas'' in my country, Norway. It seems like it has been lost or that it have been overlooked and not scanned??

Have anyone any idea of what has happend here? :s
I really need my letter, and i cant understand what has gone wrong.
In the Norwegian tracking system it has not even been registrated.

Please help.

Have another International Standard mail too on the way. Its 18 days since it was sendt. RM's site says 3-5 days.. is it possible its been lost over these 18 days ?

Hope anyone have the time to give me some kind of answer, just an idea will be greatly appreciated too.

A lot of countries seem to have delays at customs at the moment. When that happens, you get tracking information like you have.

So you think it is in customs at the moment? Do you think next update will be when its out of customs and on the way?

That doesn't happen. Not sure why, but it's the same with most postal services.

Hi

I used International Tracked & Signed
Sold by RM as "Tracked & Signed is a combination service offering full end-to-end tracking, signature on delivery and an online delivery confirmation."

Looks like just the thing but

Canada post say they will not track that service in Canada (RM say Canada post do track)

This was the "full end-to-end tracking" that I got on the RM site

03/03/16 15:30 DELIVERED CANADA
02/03/16 12:35 UNDELIVERED NOT AT ADDRESS, OFFICE CLOSED CANADA
03/02/16 23:37 ARRIVED IN COUNTRY VANCOUVER VANCOUVER
03/02/16 AM ON ITS WAY TO VANCOUVER CANADA
02/02/16 04:58 ARRIVED (MDN) AT HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
01/02/16 20:44 ON ITS WAY TO HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC SHEFFIELD MAIL CENTRE
01/02/16 20:38 ITEM COLLECTED SHEFFIELD MAIL CENTRE

3/2/TO 2/3 No info

hope this is of use

But the thing i am wondering about is that the tracking stopped at ''passed over to the postal services overseas'' - i would love it if it has said 'Delivered Norway' or something..
And i read myself some places dont have tracking after its out of UK , but Norway state it does.

How did you get the number to pick it up ?

It was a fairly general comment. I don't know anything specific about Norway, but we have a lot of complaints on here about UK customs and a sprinkling of comments about other customs services around the world. Norwegian customs are the ones relevant in your case.
