I made a large purchase of various items with a seller on Aliexpress. They decided to send all the items valued at £135 in one parcel. This was 12/11/15 still no item. I made a complaint to Aliexpress that the items did not arrive. The tracking was uploaded by the seller, China post. It has been showing 'in transit' the entire time. But in their wisdom, Aliexpress has decided the parcel was delivered. The tracking does not state this, but as the buyer I have to provide proof this is not the case. Guess what, tracking is not considered proof. They want a letter from Royal Mail stating non delivery. Seeing as I'm not the user of the service, the seller was and they have the proof of purchase, my hands are tied. The seller refuses to help. Aliexpress will cancel my claim in 5 days, and give my money to the seller.

I had a quick look, I can't tell for sure, but I'm guessing that this isn't a EU website? If it was, you could ask for a charge back from your card provider.

Also, did the package contain mobile phones, tablets or other products containing lithium ion batteries? There is a scam regarding this and orders sent from China.

It was jewellery. It's an East Asian site by Alibaba. My credit card company are in process of challenging it. Anyone shopping on Aliexpress, please note, buyer protection is not really protection. Don't spend money that you can't afford to lose. Although you can get bargains, it's risky, and every customer is guaranteed to get burned, eventually.

Was the jewellery made of gold, silver, platinum or precious stones? If so, it's probably a variation of the mobile phone scam I was thinking of before.
