Hi there posties :Very Happy

Happy Christmas and happy new year :chuckle

I've ordered a pair of headphones from a well-known mobile phone company. They were ordered on the 19th and today I got a dispatch email, but I have seen the money refunded on my Paypal account.

I just need someone to verify if this Royal Mail 48hour tracking number is legit. As Royal Mail's site isn't saying it's a real one.

Item: WJ228175095GB
Status: That item number isn't recognised
The reference number might have been entered incorrectly, please check your tracking number and try re-entering

maybe the first or both of alphabet at the start are incorrect?

The format is legit but unfortunately we don't have a check digit process on here to 100% confirm it is.

You actually get the same response when some companies assign numbers but it hasn't yet scanned into RMs system.

It's because I have informed them that waiting more than 3 weeks for item to dispatch is unacceptable. I did tell them that I will wait by Monday the 4th of January and that they didn't follow my instructions and dispatched the product and then said I've been refunded.

Will contact them to find out whats happening.

Um this means that they haven't sent the item to Royal Mail even though it was expected to arrive?

When is the next working day for items to be scanned? Not so sure if tomorrow is a working day for Royal Mail as of new year?

Pre-advice is not the same thing as sending and tomorrow is not a working day. Sorry.

Yep that means they have assigned a number, updated RMs records, but its not in RMs hands. The next scan should be an RM one but it depends where it enters the system. England, Wales and NI are all back on Saturday - most of Scotland on Monday.
