Incomplete address- what to do

Hi there,

A friend in the US sent me a little package but he didn’t put my house number. He put my flat number, postcode and everything else but not the house number :sad:
of course I haven’t received it , it was sent about a month ago... is there a way I can get this package or will it go back to him in the US? how would I know if it is in my local post office , how can I find out?

I sent an e-mail to royal mail customer services days ago but no answer yet ...

It will not be in your local Post Office. If it hasn't been returned undeliverable yet it will be in your local Royal Mail delivery office. The only thing you can do in practice is go down there and ask - unless you have a tracking number, customer services will not be able to tell you anything.

It may have been delivered to the wrong address. For example, if your address is flat 2, number 20, it might have been delivered to number 2.
