Hi forum,
I am not sure if its the right place to make this thread. I ordered an item from ebay ti give it as a gift when i go holidays to Cyprus. The problem is that my flight will be on 29th of November and the item is stuck in heathrow DC. I made the order on 12th on november and arrived in uk on 24th. I know its just 2 says there but is there a possibility to make the process faster? I saw many people complaining about parcels getting stuck there so i hope it doesn't happend something similar to me.

and also can take upto a month(potentially longer this time of year) to clear customs unfortunately

Why does an order from ebay need to go to customs i dont get it. I thought uk post was much faster compared to my country but i guess ita excactly the opposite

Actually RM are trying to emulate yours in Holland.
What type of service was it sent by, that matters as it may not be scanned again till they try to deliver.
As to customs, from my own experience of getting stuff sent to me from EU countries, and delivering them if all the correct paperwork and processes (CN forms etc) are completed correctly then there is very little delay. If anything is missing or wrong then the delay does seem to affect them more than usual.
All mail still goes through customs, even for EU countries, just that there is no VAT implications, but there are security and legal considerations.
