Mail Sorting CBC 70

Post by micky007 »

Hey,

I want to learn how to do CBC 70 Mail Sorting, my business sends quite a lot of mail each month and next month (December) we'll be sending half a million letters out on behalf of my clients. I currently use a third party company based near me to do all the mail sorting ready for collection, how ever they charge quite a bit and id love to learn how to do it myself. I've submitted a list of address to mailsortonline.com and got the results back but i have no idea what it all means. In the output file theres a few extra columns thats been added next to each line of addresses, these are:

Grouping (number)
SelectionCode (number)
Barcode (Text and Numbers)
DPS (Number & Letter)
CheckDigit (either a Letter or Number)

Does anyone who knows how to CBC 70 Mail Sort know what those columns mean at all and could maybe offer me advice on how to mail sort please. If not does anyone know anywhere online that offers some sort of Mail Sort Training? I'd rather learn how to do it myself than have another company charge me to mail sort everything etc...

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Mike
