International Tracked & Signed For

Post by danaust »

Hi, I hope someone here can help me.
I sent a parcel to my friend in Hong Kong on 25/9 with International Tracked & Signed For.
Tracking number is RN186083515GB
The parcel suppose delivery to Hong Kong no longer than 10 days.

I called Royal Mail last week but they just asking me to submit a claim form.
I checked online yesterday, the status had updated as below.
Is that mean the parcel is returned to UK or its hold by custom before and start to sending Hong Kong now ?

My friend checked with HK post office but they said they never receive my parcel.
The address on my parcel must be correct (coz its printed by computer, not hand writing), so I'm 100% sure the address is very clear and correct.

Thank you everyone who can help me in this case.

Sorry, but the service you used has no maximum delivery time - you needed one of the Parcelforce services for that. It does look like it has been returned to the UK. It should say on the outside of the packet why it is being returned, if the address is correct etc then you should start a claim with Royal Mail.

One problem with computer printing addresses is that labels sometimes come off in the machinery - writing it on in by hand in a good marker pen is probably more reliable.

I'm very confused as the status didn't shows why the parcel is rejected.

Hong Kong post office said that the parcel never import to HK, otherwise they had record on it.
That's mean my parcel seems like never go out.....
I would like to know if any experience to hold by UK's custom for 1 month ?
The postage costs me 20 pounds. Will Royal mail refund or free for charge to re-post to my friend in Hong Kong ?

Thanks.

As it doesn't come up on Hong Kong Post's tracking, chances are that customs in Hong Kong have refused it entry into Hong Kong.

You might get a refund from RM in some circumstances, but not if you sent something which is banned by HK customs. What was in the package?

I'm wondering if Hong Kong customs keep sending it back without putting any kind of stamp or sticker on it to show that it's been refused entry to Hong Kong (if that's the case), then HWDC receive it back, think it's not made it and then send it back to Hong Kong

It's some genius Lego in my parcel.

I have no idea what happen now, seem like the parcel is hold by UK custom for a month, and then they start to send after checking.

:hmmmm

This is weird, just tried the tracking number on the ParcelForce website and it said:

It's on its way

Your item, posted on 25/09/15 with reference RN186083515GB has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in HONG KONG.
I wouldn't have expected it to show on their system as well.

No batteries in there I hope? On top of the normal difficulties & rules with sending any type of battery in the mail, PR China + Hong Kong + Macau ban lithium ion batteries altogether.
