Re: Parcel stuck at heathrow
It will most likely be clearing customs USPS's agent probably scan them before they send it to customs, that's the only thing that explains it not appearing on Royal Mails systems.
PS deleted your 2 other posts - we ask customers to post the same query only once. But we don't mind you all starting new threads, in fact it makes it easier in some ways.

I do not know what the problem is, because the last time I have no problem from a item of US -LZ393000318US but we are now waiting for the fifth day for LZ396816520US and still in heathrow airport ... it is possible to call to Heathrow Airport and find out what is happening to my package?

No they don't have any customer accesible phone numbers, they are all internal company ones. Also if its with Customs they can't help. Try Royal Mail twitter account @royalmail - or their customer service numbers.mariozv333 wrote:I do not know what the problem is, because the last time I have no problem from a item of US -LZ393000318US but we are now waiting for the fifth day for LZ396816520US and still in heathrow airport ... it is possible to call to Heathrow Airport and find out what is happening to my package?

Re: LANGLEY HWDC ???
I tracked your parcel on pos.com.my because I didn't really understand the output that you pasted in. It appears that the Malaysian postal service received several lots of pre-advice of posting over 21st and 22nd August, it was actually posted on the 28th August and then it was marked as handed over to HWDC 90 minutes after it was posted (which I guess means that it was put on the plane at that time).
Royal Mail do not have a record of it, so it's either lost by the airline or delayed in UK customs. Given the recent spike in complaints about Langley on this site it's probably the latter.
I asked how much it is worth: could I repeat that question? If it's more than £18 there will be a customs charge as it's coming from outside the EU. That seems to affect speed through customs sometimes.
I would look very hard at applying for a refund from Bang Good, it's about 5 weeks since you ordered it and most sites should offer refunds in that circumstance.

thank you so much for your reply.....
yes it is under £18, £15.48 in fact..
it is very hard to get in touch with Bang good, the emails i have sent come back with this:
Usually, it will arrive after 7-25 working days.
It means that it will arrive after more than 40 days from the shipment date.
But it may be delayed because of the customs and weather.
So could you please wait for it with more patience?
Hoping your kind understanding.
Best wishes,
Jillian
i mean i think i have been more then patient! & the weather??
once again thank you, i will see how i can look into a refund

Re: LANGLEY HWDC ???
I found your forum from a google search for Langley HWDC, after a package I had been tracking across the U.S. arrived at Heathrow and apparently vanished from the face of the Earth.
I'm not worried yet, it's only been 4 days since it vanished and 9 since dispatch. I have to say tracking is a great thing. I watched it leave the factory in a small place called Custer on the Canadian border, be driven to Los Angeles, sorted, resorted, sorted again, scanned and sorted a couple of more times then put on a plane to London. Then it entered The Island, and weird things began to happen. We lost all contact.
I'm going to give it till next Monday before I contact anyone and add to the already long list of worried would be addressees pestering Royal Mail. But it got me interested in Langley. I found a youtube video of the sorting going on. It was frustratingly short on technical insight. I'm a belts and braces kind of gal and I want to know all the who's, how's, ins-outs and whatchamacallits on the thingumabobs about everything.
What are the processes of moving mail from an aeroplane to Langley, where does the customs sort actually go on? Are there people with clip boards and neatly trimmed moustaches watching over it all?
Is it a nice place to work, is there a good camaraderie? What's the works night out like?
I feel Blue Peter has failed me, in the olden days we'd have a series of succinct well shot pieces from inside HWDC with a Peter Purvis or Janet Ellis voice over warmly explaining how it's all marvelous, and really Mrs Hawkins there's nothing to worry about.
Thanks for the forum, I found it useful to read, if a little depressing that so many people have missing items in or around Langley.

Re: Parcel stuck at heathrow
I'm having the same problem. It moved quickly through the US and into the UK but now it's stuck at heathrow airport. Contacted Parcelforce and Royalmail but they can't track my parcel and said that the parcel has not been scanned in the UK. https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmA ... 33073988US" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Re: Parcel stuck at heathrow
it will still be going through customs. A departure time of 6:37pm (local I presume) on 26/9 (or 9/26) means a GMT time of 02:37am on 27/9 - with a 10 hr 30 minute flight if it took off immediately after your scan, would mean a landing time of around 1:07pm (GMT) or :2:07pm British Summer time. Which matches exactly with the Heathrow scan.
This to me indicates that USPS or its agents scanned if BEFORE passing it to Customs, as there is no way that an item can land at Heathrow, pass through Customs, pass through RMs International Mail Centre and be dispatched to the Local Mail Centre in less than 30 minutes, the best speed would usually be 8 - 12 hours minimum.
So the only logical explanation is that its presently passing through Customs in the UK. Unfortunately RM have no control on how quick it gets through there, or whether any charges, or investigation is needed. Ideally once RM do have the item it will be scanned and how up on their system.

Re: LANGLEY HWDC ???
Hi,
I also have an issue with a package that has arrived at Langley HWDC.
According to the tracking information from the Polish postal service, and Royal Mail, this package arrived at Langley on September 25th.
A friend of mine ordered from the same place and received his package within 2 weeks of ordering. I ordered this package on August 4th.
I have noticed that many people seem to have been waiting months for a package to be released from Langley. Does this mean that I too will be waiting months?
Best thing is, I paid 90 Euros for this package, and the seller will not refund it as I am unable to return said package as it is sat at Langley.
Fuming doesn't come close!

Re: LANGLEY HWDC ???
You said that you ordered the item on 04/08 but it arrived at Langley in late September? Is that right? If so, you should be able to get a refund from the site, check the small print. If you had bought from a UK website then it would be entirely the seller's responsibility to get the item to you in a timely fashion regardless of problems with their chosen carrier: not sure if that translates to purchases from other EU countries or not, but it's worth a look. If not, but you used a credit card to buy the goods, you should be able to initiate a charge back with your card provider.
