So, I just checked the tracking for a parcel I've been expecting.

This is what it says...
Status: Delivered

Your item, posted on 02/09/15 with reference RR<snip>JP was delivered in <MYTOWN> PDO on 08/09/15.

Thank you for using our International Signed service.
So, does this mean that it has actually been delivered somewhere, or just that it's currently at my local delivery office? Post has been and gone and there was just a couple of letters for me. No parcels, or cards telling me about a parcel being left somewhere (I've been in all day). I'm a bit concerned.

Yes, that does mean that it has been delivered, and there is a problem. One of the bits you snipped, "MYTOWN": was that the correct delivery office for your address? If it was, you need to check that you wrote your address correctly when you ordered the item, and if you did then you need to raise a complaint with the seller.

Yes, it's the correct delivery office for my address.

After having checked with the neighbours and looked around the back of the house and in the wheelie bins for misplaced parcels, I phoned RM this afternoon and asked them to look into it. The guy said that it may be the case that they're waiting on a customs payment and that someone has made an error when scanning it in - and that I should wait to see if a customs card turns in the post tomorrow.

There's no signature on file for the delivery, he said.

So, I found out what happened.

There is a customs fee to pay for my parcel and it's currently sat at the delivery office - but for some reason, someone marked it as already delivered on the system.
