Hi all,
I returned a pair of walking boots to Mountain Warehouse a couple of weeks ago for a refund - when I emailed them to chase up they said they haven't received them. They asked for the tracking number, but I can't find the receipt anywhere! I just moved house and it's probably ended up in the bin by accident... Is there any way of finding the tracking number? Failing that, do I have any kind of insurance from the shop itself/from Royal Mail? The boots were worth almost £150 and it'd be a bit of a blow to lose it!
Cheers all :)

Re: Lost receipt and tracking number
Sorry, but there effectively no way of recovering this information, because the tracking number is the only thing that uniquely identifies your item. The only slim chance is if you used a very small Post Office and sent the boots by Special Delivery and can clearly remember the day and time that you sent them, in which case you could ask the PO to check their registered mail report. They aren't really supposed to do that, but if you ask very nicely...
