Item Sent to USA diverted to Australia?

Post by Stinson Voyager »

16/07/15 AM ON ITS WAY TOPERTH AUSTRALIA AUSTRALIA
16/07/15 04:15 ARRIVEDUNKNOWN BAG - MISSING DUN HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
15/07/15 21:35 ON ITS WAY TOHEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC NOTTINGHAM MAIL CENTRE
15/07/15 20:17 ITEM COLLECTED NOTTINGHAM MAIL CENTRE

Posted item RN015943726GB to USA on July 15th so why is it in Australia? Spoke to Customer Services who say it will be forwarded from Australia to USA. Is this correct? Two years ago I tracked an item round Europe for over a month and eventually it ended up in Belfast! Although it passed through Germany twice no attempt was made to deliver it (Germany was destination) so I am sceptical now that this item will be forwarded. And why no entry after 16th. Customer Services told me they have its arrival logged in Perth but does not show on the public tracking site

There's probably just as much chance that AusPost will return it to the UK (is the return address on the item?), there's probably no guarantee that Auspost will either foward it or return it by air, they might send it by surface mail.

btw, the one that you had trouble with a couple of years ago, can you remember if that had a lithium ion battery in it?

This tracking site usually shows more details than other public ones, it based in Russia but is very good. No promises though. http://trackitonline.ru/?service=track" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's interesting..... I use a Russian e-mail address for my personal mail, because it works better than my (several) UK ones. And it allows me to contact btinternet addresses, which are being blocked from my other accounts. My missing package finally made it from Australia to USA so I was lucky this time!

Thanks, I was lucky - it went Air Mail from Perth to California and only lost about 10 days - still it saw a bit of the world! Other one was rare (and irreplaceable) postcards, not batteries, so I was sweating for weeks!
