hi, im new here so bAre with me if i mess this up!
I was expecting a special delivery parcel today by 1pm, but it wasnt delivered. It was posted to me yesterday morning at 9.38am, so well before any cut of time. Its only been tracked up to 7.07pm last night which says 'deliverable to tyneside mail centre' and thats it..
I rang up today to be told because it wasn't collected before 7pm, it missed the deadline for next day special delivery 1pm, then was told it hadn't arrived anywhere and they didn't know where it was.. But would be delivered tomorrow morning!
Ive checked the tracking again tonight and its not changed and still says the above..
No one seems to know whats going on and it was an expensive parcel!!

Late and lost are quite different things, and if it is something from an online seller then they will be obliged by law to replace / refund it.
It's a bit hard to say too much from your description, could you please copy and paste the tracking info into a reply?

Can you please try the tracking number at http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and post all the entries?
