ok I understand the battery thing. But on last page you wrote wrote something that they are very strict on cellphones, where did you get that from?TrueBlueTerrier wrote:I am now getting ANGRY and frustrated

Re: Mail stuck at Heathrow
No strict on Batteries AND Cellphones or in fact any electronic equipment that has lithium batteries. If the cellphone had no battery there are no restrictions. But if it does there are, and its because of an IATA ruling which Royal Mail and the Airlines that fly post and cargo have to comply with.

If they suspect an undeclared lithium battery (with or without electronic equipment) or they find one without the correct markings and declarations then it can be destroyed as per this little snippet at the bottom of http://www.royalmail.com/personal/help- ... ited-Goods" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Another cargo aircraft carrying batteries crashes – off South Korea
29th July 2011 Another cargo plane has crashed, killing its two pilots, due to fire in the cargo hold caused by lithium batteries igniting. The Asiana Airlines’ B747 freighter was off South Korea when it crashed into the sea. It was claimed the pilot had shouted “cargo fire” and “emergency” about 10 minutes before the aircraft disappeared from radar screens. It was carrying electronic products, mobile phones, liquid crystal displays, LEDs, lithium batteries and liquids

6th September 2010 Crew reported radio problems and smoke in the cockpit of the B747-400 freighter shortly before the crash. The cause was not known at the time, but is now known to be a fire caused by lithium batteries. The 2 US pilots had reported problems and were attempting to return to Dubai’s main airport shortly after taking off.
The aircraft crashed in an unpopulated area 50 minutes from departure. Non-rechargeable and rechargeable lithium batteries are flammable.

Re: Mail stuck at Heathrow
This is really strange, the phone was returned to me today from Ireland Apple, I shipped it to UK, it doesent have its original package or anything. There is a letter that I shipped it to Apple in Ireland, which I havent.
My theory is that the package was broken or the label fell of, they sent it to Apple in Ireland for some reason and they saw the reciept, which had my comapny name and adress and returned it.

Re: Heathrow Worldwide Dc
Hello,
I am trying to track my shipment and it says on theroyalmail website:
Your item, posted on 06/07/15 with reference RN145798954GB has been received at our international mail centre and is being made ready for despatch overseas.
Where in when I click on the Full Tracking Details it says its still in Heathrow Worldwide DC.
Status: RECEIVEDUNKNOWN BAG - MISSING DUN -
Track point : HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
Can anyone please explain what is happening? This came with my other package which I received already a few days back.
So I dont understand what is happening. I tried calling the call center and they said to wait till Aug. 12. (25 days to deliver?)
Before they can investigate. Its for my wedding sadly it may be too late
Thank you for your patience.

Re: Heathrow Worldwide Dc
Hello! Maybe you can help me in my question. Thanks in advance for your answer!
I send correspondence, registered, from Lithuania to the USA , which as I understand went transit through the UK . And the latest information about the location of my package with reference RN120521241LT is: 16/07/15 ARRIVED IN THE UK HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC
Can you clarify this situation, why so long no new data is not sent package further ? I sent two packages together and the first has already been received. Very worried why so much delayed second. It must be received by a certain date, because it is a gift to my friends, trophies for competitions. I hope very much for your help,Thank you so much!

Re: Heathrow Worldwide Dc
It must have been miss-sorted by Lithuania's equivilant of Royal Mail. It's possible that its in the hand of UK customs if it is then there's nothing that Royal Mail can do until customs release the parcel to them (it's not unusual for items to take a month or more to clear customs). Once it's in the hands of Royal Mail, they'll either return it to Lithuania or forward it to the US (I've no idea how long it typically takes things to clear US customs)

Re: Parcel stuck at heathrow
Same situation here, my parcel arrived at Heathrow 4 days ago and has just been sat there doing nothing.
'Please come back later' is the arrogant status that I get on the tracking website
Absolutely disgusting service holding onto it for so long, but reading all these replies I may be in for an even longer wait
