Wheres my package!! Please HELP!

I bought a jacket on ebay from a seller in China since 16th October and am still waiting for it to be delivered. I have gone on ems tracking site to track it, it says my item arrived on the 05 November, today is 13th November and still not delivered yet. This is the last time I will ever buy any thing from a seller in China, or a seller using America as a decoy to sell their products/goods.

It could still arrive. It may have been scanned is at HWDC, but may be awaiting clearance by customs. 14 days from arrival in the country is not unheard off, especially with the number of parcels coming through for Christmas.

That's happend to me, I have ordered something from China with the reference code RH204820837CN and it has been sitting in the sorting centre for over 2 weeks now surely it doesn't take that long please help me

Delays at customs can actually take upto 4 or 5 weeks unfortunately

2. If so, does Signed For from China normally get scanned along the way?

1) afaik it's not known if that scan is done before or after an item is checked by customs
2) Stuff from China is treated as recorded within the UK.

1. No - AFAIK they are scanned before going to customs.
2. No on delivery or attempted delivery only.

Given the other answers above, your item could still be in customs, which Royal Mail have no control over, or it could be stuck further along the way (e.g. Incomplete or ambiguous address). Customs might have a backlog but some things are likely to cause a customs delay: could you tell us what's inside please?

They will not cause a problem with customs as such, though I would expect that there is a customs charge to pay. It might be worth calling Royal Mail customer services on 03457 740 740 to see if there is a charge to pay (your notification may have got lost).

Does that mean it has a red oval 'Signature Required' sticker on it?

Spoke to a colleague today who stated that he only got a signature if it had that sticker on, otherwise just posts it. Surely if it has a 13 digit barcode it needs scanning? Didn't we stop having those stickers a year ago?

Also, there are a lot with the barcode, but a message stating 'no scan on delivery'. Do they need scanning?

HWDC stopped applying them stickers a few years ago. If an item has got a barcode, scan it, the PDA will soon tell you if the item needs scanning.

in any case, once the parcel tracking comes online every parcel will have to be scanned

It's not unheard of for things to take a month or more to clear customs. Contact your local delivery office and ask them if it's there, there might be a customs charge to pay (normally a card will be delivered if there's a customs charge to pay)
