Help! Sent an item but it hasn't arrived

Hi, I've sold an item on eBay and sent it on the 27th May(Special Delivery), and recently the buyer contacted me that the item still hasn't arrived. Now as I wanted to track it online I found out the receipt I have doesn't have the tracking number. I only have one receipt , I am supposed to have 2 separate receipts? I don't remember having 2 receipts. I am going to the post office I went to tomorrow hoping they can help me, but I've heard the chances are slim :sad: What can I do???

If you used the standard silver envelopes then the "receipt" for Special Delivery is actually a tear of slip in the same location as the bar code.

Please ignore - this is outdated advice :nervous :nervous :nervous

The receipt you show in the picture is for payment and was issued by the self-service till: the receipt you need for the tracking is the one given to you by the Post Office clerk when you handed it to them.

Sorry TBT, but the slips you mention haven't been used for that purpose for several years now, at least not in the Post Office.
