74 mil split pro rata between 130,000 ( I think ) posties would work into a nice sum of cash.
I wont hold my breath for a decent amount,Probably get enough for Saturday nights takeaway :Boo hoo!
Sorry to pour cold water on your expectations but...
When RM was floated in 2013, they issued 1 billion shares, priced at £3.30 each.
They've declared a dividend of 14.3p, so that means a total of £143m will be paid out in dividends in July. They also need to re-invest some of the profit into ongoing business transformation.
We were only ever likely to get a slice of the amount by which the overall profit EXCEEDS the target profit. So if the target was £600m, for example, we'd be entitled to some proportion of the extra £140m.
But I don't know what the target was!

I'm no expert on big business but you would think that any major giveaway of profits would have to be run by the shareholders first so given the timescales involved I would think that any incentive bonus would be small and and at least roughly already factored into the overall wage bill.

I would guess at around £120 at the most.

I remember working it out when RM first announced it. There were two calculations depending on profit - if we met the profit target it gave us a bonus of around £100, so I reckon your £120 is pretty close to the mark. The other calculation worked out about £100 too, but the higher figure gets paid.

The target profit figure was given to the union but as this is business sensitive, it remained a secret. Any profit above this figure is our bonus, either, upto a limit of £15m or a 50/50 share, whatever is the greatest. No operational Manager will be aware of the figure given to the union.

so why after 1o days since profits were announced does it remain a big secret. get the finger out cwu and tell the members what they are due. after all rm said they would tell us shortly and 10 days later still not a peep out of them either.
