Hello there,
My Int tracked and Signed documents with typed address and customs declaration from post office should be going to Republic of Korea, it is currently in the Republic of Ireland. A mistake or is it still en route? Thanks, Simon.

A mistake definitely. Probably made by someone rushing, saw the republic and didn't look any further. However, it won't delay it too long as AnPost should either return it to the UK or forward to ROK.
There is a Russian site that gives good information for all tracking, keep an eye on it there and you should see it arrive in ROK at some point. http://trackitonline.ru/?service=track" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Thanks very much. There's another earlier post where someone's parcel went to Brazil for three months instead of Belgium - also via Exeter Mail Centre. Is it likely to arrive within the next two weeks in Korea? Can I claim for this? I thought the whole point of barcodes and scanning was to eliminate silly errors.

If it arrives outside the delivery spec you may be able to claim.
Barcodes in RM don't eliminate silly mistakes as a lot of stuff is still manhandled rather than machine processed. The barcodes system is really just an audit trail of where and when the item was handled.
It should arrive within 2 weeks, but obviously thats not a guarantee by me.

Thanks for the help. Just an update, as it might be useful for someone else. My package arrived in Seoul today. An Post sent it direct. There is obviously a glaring problem with tracked mail if it can go to the wrong country without being noticed. I assume the tracking has no other information attached to it, other than where it's been scanned.
