Implications on mail after the UK's exit from the EU

International Mail - UK To Canada - Wrong postcode :(

Hi guys.


I have a quick question I've tried to Google for it, but I have mixed results.

I sent a christmas parcel to my girlfriend in Canada - with the address format:

House Number and Street
Brampton (Town)
Ontario (Province)
Postal Code
Canada (Country)

The address is correct except I messed up the postal code - I think I put an M instead of an L. (Which I think is Toronto rather than Brampton)

If you were to Google the address it would be fine without the post code but I am worried the parcel will be lost or undeliverable. :sad:

Will Royal Mail/Canada's equivalent be able to deliver this package with the correct address despite my error with the postcode :/?

If its the Brampton thats either a suburb of Toronto or not very far away - 44 KM, then Canada Post should be able to deliver it, albeit there will be a delay as the automatic sorting machines will send it to the post code not the address. Then hopefully that office will recognise Brampton in the address and send it on.

its not 100% though it could be returned to sender as address not recognised.
